Membership Application, QCWA Chapter 154

MEMBER

Chapter membership as a MEMBER is open to Quarter Century Wireless Association members in good standing or to those who have applied to the National QCWA for membership, subject to being accepted thereby. Membership in the Quarter Century Wireless Association is open to all Amateur Radio Operators who were first licensed at least 25 years ago and are presently licensed. You need not have been licensed continuously for the 25 year interval. National dues are $20.00 per year. Chapter 154 dues are $10.00 per year, due on January 1st. There is no initiation fee, however, your National QCWA dues must be up to date. MEMBERS receive the QCWA Journal, issued quarterly and are eligible to vote in the National election. Chapter members receive the monthly Coachella Valley Repeater containing news and events of Chapter 154.

ASSOCIATE

Chapter membership as an ASSOCIATE is open to all Amateur Radio Operators holding a current, valid Amateur License and licensed less than 25 years ago. As an ASSOCIATE, members do not receive the QCWA Journal issued quarterly, nor can they vote in any QCWA National election. There is no initiation fee and National dues are not required to be paid. Chapter 154 dues are $10.00 per year, due on January 1st and includes receiving the monthly Coachella Valley Repeater. Upon reaching the 25 year requirement, ASSOCIATES may then apply to National for MEMBER status.

CHAPTER ACTIVITIES

NEWSLETTER: The monthly newsletter Repeater is mailed to MEMBERS and ASSOCIATES in good standing to keep the membership abreast of Chapter activities and news of interest. Articles of interest to the membership for publication are encouraged.

MONTHLY LUNCHEON MEETINGS: Held on the third Thursday during the months from November through May. We are dark for the months of June through October. (In December we join with local radio clubs for a joint Christmas party). Regular meetings start promptly at 11:30 AM at Palm Desert Greens Country Club, 73750 Country Club Dr., Palm Desert, CA. Each month we present a featured speaker on subjects of interest to the membership. If you are a new member, phone Bill Dews, Treasurer at 760-346-8611 for latest meeting information.
